OPTI GREEN FLEET WINTER 2024

For ages 7-11

The curriculum includes:

• Boat Handling
• Points of Sail
• Sportsmanship and water safety 
• Terminology
• Wind awareness
• Basic Knots

Schedule:

Saturday afternoons, 1 to 5pm

January:  13, 20, 27

February 3,10,24

March:  2

Program meets rain or shine. 

 

FEES:

Member Rates: 

Winter 2024 only: $300  due before the first day of programming

Nonmember Rates:

Winter 2024:  $500  due before the first day of programming

 

REGATTA COACHING FEES:

Participants responsible for regatta coaching and entry fees.

Entry fees - 50% discount for home events (Junior Olympic Sailing Festival & Florida East Coast Youth Regattas at USSCMC)

$50 per day for home regatta coaching

$100 per day for travel regatta coaching

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to swim 50 yards and pass a swim test. 
  
• Provide a U.S. Coast Guard approved Type III Personal Flotation.Device (PFD) with a plastic whistle attached.
  
• Sunglasses and hat are recommended
  
• Refillable water bottle
• Sailing boots or shoes that can get wet.
