High School Racing Season is through April 2022

Race Team Practice Schedule:

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4 pm to 6:30 pm

(A complete list of dates is provided in the registration link)


The program meets rain or shine

Sample Practice Schedule:

3:30 Arrive and get ready to sail
3:45 Rig boats
4:00 Meet on deck

4:15 Launch boats
4:25 Practice on water
6:00 All boats to land to de-rig
6:20 Debrief (if necessary)
6:30 Dismissed


Sailing is a competitive varsity sport and varsity letters can be earned. This program may require travel to regattas.

Program Fees:

$1000 Program Fee + an active USSCMC Family or Junior membership (membership activation fee waived)

Participants are required to maintain an active Junior Membership or Family Membership. Membership is offered at the annual renewal rate if joining the team. 

PFD and sailing helmet required. New sailors will receive a helmet.

Scholarship Information:

To increase accessibility, registration fees are kept low and scholarships are available for any sailor. To apply for a scholarship, you can download our USSCMC scholarship application and return it to the office by email (, mail, or in person.

The High School Racing Team is for experienced sailors looking for a more competitive environment who have a passion and desire to train and advance their racing skills. Members of this team are held to a higher standard and must meet ongoing requirements to maintain racing team status. Program goals will focus on developing the sailor's dedication and commitment, skills, and team-oriented leadership.
