Alan Jenkinson –

Alan Jenkinson joined the USSCMC in March, 2009 with a professional background that includes a degree in Physical Education from Springfield College (MA), experience as a coach, athletic director, and business owner. Alan's love for sailing was born in his youth while sailing in Narragansett Bay in his hometown of Barrington, RI. Alan has both his US SAILING Level 1 Instructor and Keelboat Certificates. Alan and his wife Debbie have resided in Martin County for 34 years, where they raised two sons, Garrett and Gavin.

Sailing Director

Ryan Clarke -

My name is Ryan Clarke (that’s with an E)

I eat lots of tree nuts, drink lots of coffee, and have a ridiculous laugh.

I drive a truck and lean right, but I’m also a closet hippie that loves climbing, sleeping outside, and the world of self-improvement (even though I’ve got a long way to go).

I’m from Port Orange, FL, suburbia at it’s finest.

I graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelors in Human Factors.

I grew up sailing Lasers, coaching racing and running summer camp at Halifax Youth Sailing and sailed as a part of a club team in SAISA during college.

I spent a year at Honda of America Manufacturing as a Safety rep before here.

I’m a stereotypical Florida boy, everything I do involves being on or immersed in water.

I’m a sailing director, but more than anything I identify and think of myself as a coach.
