Have you ever wanted to learn how to sail?

The Hobie Wave is perfect for learning to sail or for brushing up on your sailing skills. Our Adult Learn to Sail Course was designed to teach adults how to sail through groups lessons of 2-4 people, or private lessons, depending on prefered style of learning.

or, you may schedule prvate lessons based on your availability. Lessons may be scheduled by appointment during regular hours of operations: Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 6pm

As you prepare for your lesson, be sure to bring the following with you to your lesson at the Sailing Center:

Bathing suit and beach towel

Closed-toe, non-slip boat, water or tennis shoes with white soles (dark soles leave marks on the boats.) No flip-flops or spongy crocs as secure footing on the boat is important.

Hat and sunglasses

Sunblock

A change of clothing should you want to go home in dry clothes in the event of rain or possible capsize drill.

Sailing gloves are strongly recommended

Advanced Lessons

Adult Learn To Crew:

6-hour On-Water “Learn to Crew” a Flying Scot

6-hour On-Water “Learn to Skipper” a Flying Scot

Students may need additional lessons before passing the Sail Test.  Each additional lesson will be $100 per 3-hour day with instructor. Lessons to be scheduled.

Sailing & Windsurfing Lessons (Private Instruction)

2-hour minimum
$30/ hour for members
$45/ hour for non-members
$20/ hour for additional person in same boat
$50/ hour for PRIVATE COACHING in private boats or plus boat charter fee
